Hungover New Year...

I've become such a lightweight. A couple glasses of wine and some cookies and I feel toxic for 2 days.

We attended a small party last night. Loads of fun.

There was a consensus that 2009 was a bad year for most people. I found my experience in stark contrast. Last year was a very important and transformative time for me. Money woes aside, I wouldn't trade 2009 for anything!!

I'm floating into 2010 with a very hopeful spirit...

  1. Sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well after the party. =( Next time we'll cut you off at one glass. Love and hugs!

  2. Funny story. Pre-transition I was this epic figure of a person. Walked away with only a scratch from a number of horrible car wrecks and one plane crash. Was both the designated drinker AND driver when I hung out with friends because I could (and often did) consume unlimited amounts of alcohol and pass a blood test. Got hit by a pickup truck while on a bicycle once and walked away with a couple of stitches. The truck looked like it had hit a bridge at 55. My bike was totaled as it wound up under the wheels of the truck. Those are some of the memorable highlights from back then. Oh, and I NEVER go sick. In 20 plus years that everyone was keeping track of I'd never had so much as a cold. That was then.

Now two glasses of wine on an empty stomach and I'm tipsy. I've been careful however not to break my track record, I've still NEVER been full on drunk. Never want to be either. I get colds (especially from my namesake) and even had the flu once.

Frankly the changes, the differences are amazing. And the price well worth it. So I know the feeling.
